The Monroe Arts Center's building project has been designated as a "demonstration project" by the National Trust for Historic Preservation: "We at the National Trust are pleased to be able to advise and assist in your project to make it a most successful venture that can encourage other communities to follow your lead."
The Monroe Arts Center Building Project will create a legacy that accentuates and assures the tradition, commanding presence, and strength of our historic facilities. It opens our doors to people with physical challenges and it opens our facilities to a regional audience. This project also allows us to continue our good stewardship of a Monroe icon and provides opportunities to most favorably affect our community's quality of life for generations.
