It's a tale of love, family and tradition. Monroe Theatre Guild brings one of the great works of American musical theatre to the PAC stage.
Fiddler on the Roof is the moving story of Tevye, a poor dairyman who tries to instill in his five daughters the precariously balanced ways of traditional life of his tight-knit Jewish community in an ever-changing, turbulent world of Czarist Russia.
Challenged by his family and the politics of the outside world, Tevye still manages to keep a wry sense of humor about himself, his family, and his God.
Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler On The Roof has touched audiences around the world with its humor, warmth and honesty.
The celebrated musical score includes such memorable songs as "If I Were a Rich Man," "Sunrise, Sunset," and "Tradition."
Its universal theme of tradition, cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.
