Through the art of quilting, this Mosinee, Wisconsin artist will use fabrics and fibers to highlight the beauty of Wisconsin. Sometimes realistic, sometimes abstract, large concepts and small details abound that will lure us into seeking the mysteries of our world.
Rotz reflects two basic themes in her textile art: the strong use of color and exploring basic shapes. With her unique approach to quilt making, she plays with the subject by abstracting it to a more basic shape and uses a variety of textured and patterned fabrics to entice the viewer.
Rotz says, "I try to continually challenge myself to go beyond what I already know and what I have already done." This beautiful collection of art quilts qualify that statement and they are a reflection of the natual beauty found in Wisconsin.
