The "On a Liquid Planet" exhibit in the Frehner Gallery and the ArtMix Gift Shop will be open before and after Ellsworth Brown's presentation.
Ellsworth Brown will talk about state and local history.  Brown is the 13th director of the Wisconsin Historical Society, one of the nation's preeminent historical institutions - founded in 1846, two years before Wisconsin statehood.

He holds a doctorate in American and Canadian history from Michigan State University.  Throughout his career he has been affiliated with numerous historical organizations in an advisory or leadership capacity, including service on the Smithsonian Institution's Council and its Board of the National Museum of the American Indian; and as a board member and president of the American Association of Museums, among others.

John Glynn, President of the Green County Historical Society, will be on hand to introduce this distinguished speaker.
